Security and privacy
Where your data is hosted
Servers, database and AI processing are hosted exclusively in the European Union. No data leaves Europe. The analysis of email content is entrusted to Mistral AI, a French company independent of the major US providers.
Who can read your emails
No one but you. The content of your messages is processed only by the AI, automatically: no one on the MyCleark team, support included, has access to it. The AI reads the text of your emails for the duration of the analysis, and it is not stored in plain text afterwards. Only the results (category, priority score) are kept to build your digests.
What the AI can and cannot do
- It classifies each email by category and assigns it a priority score
- It generates the daily and weekly digests sent automatically
- It never sends an email on your behalf and never replies to anyone for you
- It is never trained on your data: training is technically disabled in our Mistral AI console
Gmail permissions actually requested
Signing in with Google requests limited access to read and organize your emails (sorting, labels) and to your calendar, for the appointments MyCleark creates in it. This is not full access to your Google account.
Your rights and how long data is kept
GDPR compliant: explicit consent when you connect, and a right to erasure you can exercise at any time from your account. Deleting an account erases the processed emails, the Gmail access and the related automations. One documented exception: the trial history (with no email content) is kept for 3 years after deletion, for the sole purpose of limiting abuse through repeated trial periods. Full details on the data and retention periods in our privacy policy.
Frequently asked questions
Can anyone at MyCleark read my emails?
No, never. No one on the MyCleark team, neither support nor developers, can access the content of your emails. Only the AI processes them, automatically.
Are my emails used to train an AI model?
No. Model training is technically disabled in our Mistral AI console, not merely ruled out in a policy.
What happens if I delete my account?
Your emails, your workflows and your Gmail access are erased. Only the trial history (TrialHistory) is kept for 3 years, with no email content, to prevent abuse of trial periods.
Exactly which Gmail permissions does MyCleark request?
Limited access to read and organize your emails (labels, organization) and to your calendar for the appointments you create in it. Never full access to your Google account.
